fun things for my dwarf hamster!?
i have a 6month old russian dwarf hamster. i just think that all the time he is bored. he has a hamster pen and a seesaw ans a climbing block thing. in his cage he has a wheel and treat wheel , a chewing thing and a sunflower mineral block. he also has a ball. can anyone suggest some nice things so he wont get bored as quickly x
because i have had him for long , i cant get anothe hamster , they will fight!
It sounds like your hamster has lots of things too keep him entertained. Just let him out in his ball lots – but remember to give him a break every 15-20 mins. It sounds like he has lots to chew on already – if you can fit more in then do though as there can never be too many things for him to do.
I have a few ideas for more homemade things for him to do though. If your cage has bars then hang monkey nuts from them using string – they love grabbing onto them to try and chew through and reach the nut inside. Another idea is lots of cardboard tubes and boxes for him to play in and shred up. Maybe put a few sheets of toilet paper in the cage for him to shred up himself.
Again if your cage has bars then give him a suspension brigde with ropes hanging from it.
If you have a cage with tubes you could add on a few more compartments for him so he has space for ven more toys, or you could change a few compartments around occasionally to keep him busy and exploring the cage.
